Fatal Car Accidents in Georgia

The news that a close family member or friend has died from injuries sustained in a car crash is devastating. Often, the disarray that follows a fatal car accident adds to the emotional and financial devastation that the family is going through.

When a person is injured in a car accident caused by the negligence of another driver, that person has the legal right to file a personal injury lawsuit against the negligent driver. They may be entitled to compensation for unpaid medical bills, lost wages as a result of being unable to return to work, property damage, emotional distress, and physical pain and suffering.

If the victim dies as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident, the victim’s surviving family members may file a wrongful death claim on behalf of their deceased loved one. In this way, the deceased’s family attempts to obtain justice and compensation for the loss of their loved one.
